Case Study 4 - Enhanced customer experience
The Problem
This Bahamas based Financial Services client is running a COBOL system on their IBM i platform. Their long-term strategy is either to modernise all their green-screen applications, or replace the platform entirely with a new system. This decision won't be taken for some time.
In the interim period, an enhanced customer experience was needed, through interactive web-applications that could both interrogate the database, and also perform key transactions (receiving payments etc).

The Solution
Legacy Systems were engaged to assist with Project Management of the entire software-development process. This involved working with web-developers who were building the web-apps, performing quality-assurance, integrating feeds into and out of the IBM i, as well as performing overall Project Management (planning, tracking, status reporting, etc).
Legacy Systems provides one senior consultant to act as Project Manager, together with additional resources to perform QA and IBM i integration activities.
